CAN HAIR JEWELRY BE A NEW WAY TO ADD FLAVOR TO YOUR STALE HAIRSTYLES?
I often get bored with my hair. It’s either curly or straight, up in a messy bun, which I call my “Cherry”, or down with an angled side part, or braided or twisted front pieces in a half up half down sort of way.
I am always looking for new hair styles that are quick, yet different and trendy.
I probably own more than enough headbands, clips, and hair combs.
Then, I started seeing celebrity sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian rocking hair jewelry on their shows.
Hair jewelry is an interesting concept. I would think these statement pieces would definitely be conversation starters.
I did some research and found out that Belle Noel and POParazzi are producing hair jewelry that you can purchase.
Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian Hair Chains
Belle Noel is Kim Kardashian’s jewelry line collaboration with Pascal Mouawad. Her line includes the hair chains that you’ve seen her wear on her reality tv shows. I’m assuming that one of these pieces was worn by Khloe in the Season 5 finale.
The hair chains are made of 14 karat gold and pave crystals. The prices for the hair chains are all under $70.
You can purchase them directly through Glamhouse, Pascal Mouawad’s jewelry website or through ShopBop.
POParazzi By Amber eUnique is probably best known for the giant beaded hoop earrings featured on VH1’s Basketball Wives and various reality shows.
As I was browsing her site for earrings, I stumbled across her collection of Headpieces.
POParazzi’s hair jewelry are made with gold, silver, beads, and crystals. They are very ornate and interesting. The pieces are priced between $30 and $110.
You can purchase them directly through POParazzi’s online shop.
Should You Rock Hair Jewelry?
I think your personality will determine if you are brave enough to pull off some of these pieces. I think they would be a real head turner.
However you rock them, I think adding hair jewelry to your hair style repertoire will give your look a little attitude. I might purchase a hair chain to jazz up my ponytail.
What’s your take on hair jewelry? Would you rock it or knock it?
